Bank of New York Mellon, Pittsburgh Innovation Center
Bank of New York Mellon asked Wildman Chalmers Design to help create an Innovation Center on the 12th floor of their Mellon tower in downtown Pittsburgh. The goals of the project included attracting new talent from the local colleges, providing a dynamic workspace to help retain existing talent and creating a floor of the building that could integrate different departments of the company to work in an agile fashion. Flexible training and meeting spaces were included in the program, and the annual board meeting of this global company was held here in 2016. The project, viewed as very successful by Bank of New York Mellon, also won the People's Choice Award in 2016 for the American Institute of Architects, Pittsburgh Chapter.
