Mount Lebanon Residence

This renovation of an mid-century modern house in Mount Lebanon encompassed all 3,300 square feet of the existing home.  By opening up a large vertical shaft in the center of the home for an open steel stair, each split level feels more open and connected to the other areas of the house.  The main level plans were modified to create an open concept space for entertaining, and a large clerestory and vaulted ceiling were added to the living room.  At the dining area, a large multi-fold door opens to a spacious covered deck.  Upstairs, an attic was extended to create a master suite, complete with a soaking tub and double sided fireplace between the bedroom and bath.
