Sewickley Traditional Renovation, Addition, and Pool House New Construction

Wildman Chalmers Design was asked by the owners of this historic single-family home in Sewickley to develop designs for a renovation and a new addition to the main house. The owners wanted an outdoor living space with an inground pool, covered private porch with a fireplace, and a pool house with a 2-car garage. The project scope included architecture and interior design. The renovation and addition include a new large open kitchen, mudroom, laundry room, full bath on the first floor, and finished basement. The owners discussed with the architecture and interior design team their desire for the project’s aesthetic to capture the lifestyle and flavor of the beach where the family spends their summer vacation.

In collaboration with the owners, WCD totally reconfigured the existing first floor plan and created gracious light- filled rooms with enlarged entries between rooms creating a seamless flow into the new addition.
